What makes a good quiz question?

Will be interesting to see what good answers come back to this question!

Personally I think the question should be short and snappy - I don't like long rambling questions that take more than a few seconds to say. And of course the answer has to be correct too!

I think the most important thing is that the question is original.

It should be something that noone has heard before.

Ideally a good question will be fair so that everyone has a chance of getting it if they have a decent general knowledge.

It should also be interesting I think so that you really have to think to get the answer!
