Other Types of Quiz Round
Many quizzes have other rounds that are not in the format of a question read out or printed on paper.
The most common of these include sound or pictures. For instance a music round where a short piece of music is played and a question based on it is common.
Another common round that may be used for intervals or last the duration is one involving pictures -for instance name that person. This is a series of images - obscure or otherwise - of celebrities, and the aim is to identify who each of the people are.
A third common type of variant round is one that involves some sort of thinking and puzzles. For instance you might have seen 'dingbat' type rounds where you have to work out what phrase is represented by a piece of text, an image or a diagram.
Anagram and other word puzzles are also a common quiz round, and again often form the basis of something that is either used a tiebreaker or a round to be completed during the duration of the quiz and gives you something to think about in the time between rounds, when sheets are being collected and during the interval if there is one.
